In Shosai Baifu (by Wu Taisuo, China: Hiroshima City Central Library, 1988), Chinese painter Wu Taisuo explains his technique for drawing plum trees. The original Muromachi Period (1392 to 1573) transcription came into the possession of the Asano family. Because neither the original manuscript nor another transcription exists in China, this book is quite valuable. Of the four ancient transcriptions of this book that are known to exist, all in Japan, this one is considered the best. The Asano transcription is part of the Hiroshima City Central Library Asano Collection.
